Upon enrolment, students are placed in House Group where they compete across the year in a range of events and contribute to the House Cup overall winner.
Our sports programs are more than a way to stay active – they are a vital part of our community spirit and student life. Upon enrolment, students are placed into one of our House Groups: Murray, Ovens, Yarra and Kiewa, each named after one of Victoria’s iconic rivers.
Being part of a House group fosters camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of belonging among students. It also adds an extra layer of excitement and motivation to compete and earn House points at our two major House carnivals: the Athletics Day and the Swimming Carnival.
In addition to our regular Physical Education classes, we offer a robust and successful interschool sports program. Our students have the opportunity to represent the College in a variety of sports, including Football (Soccer), Basketball, AFL, Netball, Cricket, Badminton, 3v3 Basketball, and Swimming, among others.
Furthermore, our College Sports Coordinator regularly hosts lunchtime sports tournaments. These lively competitions are a favorite among students, who gather to watch, cheer on their peers, and revel in the excitement of the matches.
Whether competing on the field, in the pool, or on the court, our students develop not only their athletic abilities but also essential life skills such as leadership, resilience, and teamwork. Our sports program is a testament to our commitment to working together and learning together.
