Facilities

We are committed to providing facilities that enable dynamic learning to take place.

Doncaster Secondary College sits on a 60,000 sq m site nestled in the leafy, residential streets of Doncaster. The College has a well-serviced bus network including two official bus services solely for our students.

Over recent years, the College has undertaken significant investment in its facilities. In 2020, we opened ‘W-Block’ which is a dedicated learning space for our Year 7 students. Our facilities are continually being re-designed and expanded to support our learning and teaching programs and to enhance the student experience.

Sporting Facilities

Doncaster Secondary College has a state-of-the-art Sports Stadium and Recreation Complex. Seating up to 650 people, the space has two multi-use courts, a flexible learning space, a cafeteria area, and inclusive change room facilities.

Our students use this spectacular facility for a wide range of recreational activities, physical education classes, as well as hosting College-wide sporting events and ceremonies.

The College also enjoys other recreational facilities, including a synthetic surface sports oval and running track, dance and aerobics studio, tennis courts, badminton, hockey, basketball courts, a traditional school gym, and a weights room.

Performance Centre

The Doncaster Secondary College Performance Centre is a modern, well-appointed facility. It was built in 2002 and has fully tiered seating for an audience of 322. The facilities include fully operational sound and lighting equipment.

The Performance Centre is a wonderful space to conduct year-level assemblies, host guest speaker presentations, live music and drama performances.

Flexible Learning Spaces

To support our students needs throughout their learning journey, our College has a number of dedicated learning spaces that are flexible in design and foster collaboration and a sense of community.

W-Block provides a consistent and familiar place for our Year 7 students to transition into secondary school. Modern and colourful, the two-storey building has been purposefully designed to cultivate connection and collaboration. Lockers and most Year 7 classes are held in W-Block.

Our Senior Centre is a dedicated space for Year 12 students. Providing a dynamic and adaptive light-filled space that has direct access to our Senior School leading teachers and a student kitchen, it is regarded as a home-away-from-home study space for our Year 12 students.

Coming Soon: A re-imagined STEM Centre!

Expanding on the current science and electronics laboratories, the College has commenced refurbishment works to upgrade our purpose-built STEM facility. Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, students will be able to tinker and explore ideas though specialist equipment in a learning environment that develops creativity, problem-solving and innovation. The work reflects our commitment to empowering our students to develop 21st-century skills and capabilities.

Outside of school hours, our facilities can be hired for use.
