‘Student Art Gallery’

Student art gallery is a permanent gallery at DSC that exhibits artwork from years 7 to 12. Titled ‘Tunnel vision’ this gallery is updated regularly and illustrates the wide variety of mediums students explore in Media studies, photography, visual communication design, textiles and art lessons. This gallery space provides students the opportunity to collaborate and curate their own exhibition at various times throughout the year.

Performing Arts


Performing Arts

Our state-of-the-art Presentation and Performance Centre provides a versatile venue for students to develop and showcase their skills in the Performing Arts.

Drama

Drama is an integral part of the Arts Program at each year level, culminating in the opportunity for students to undertake VCE Drama.

Music


Instrumental Music

Tuition is offered on a large range of woodwind, brass, percussion and string instruments during school time. Students learning at the College are expected to be a part of large ensembles that rehearse before or after school. Students who learn outside of school are also encouraged to participate in the choir and ensembles with the school. A music camp is held in May for junior ensembles while senior students have the opportunity to tour in December. Past tours have taken students to Adelaide, East Gippsland, Sydney, and the Victorian high country.

Additional Support

The college offers additional support in literacy and numeracy across a range of year levels.

Students are identified as needing extra support through a variety of ways including: PAT test, on-demand testing, NAPLAN data, semester reports, teacher referrals, feedback and transition information.
